The Centre for Youth Impact is committed to working collaboratively to progress thinking and practice in impact measurement and quality improvement in youth work and provision for young people. Our vision is for all young people to have access to high quality programmes and services that improve their life chances.
We need a Team Assistant to join the team to provide critical administrative and logistical support across all of our projects. The post will contribute both capacity and skills to the Centre’s dynamic team – particularly offering support around arranging regular external training and events. The postholder will also work with the Operations Manager on team coordination, supporting on the Centre’s comms processes and day-to-day administrative tasks as they arise.
We’re looking for an organised and confident administrator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. Our ideal candidate would be happy working autonomously and have experience of supporting a busy and fast-paced team managing multiple different work streams. We are looking for someone who will anticipate need and suggest solutions to logistical challenges. You’ll need to be helpful and enthusiastic in your approach to work, flexible and people oriented.
We are really pleased to share our working paper on the role of youth provision in supporting young people to build assets for a healthy life. This research was funded by the Health Foundation and forms part of the Young People’s Future Health Inquiry, which aims to build understanding of the influences affecting the future health of young people.
In the summer of 2018, the Local Government Association commissioned the Centre for Youth Impact to produce an outcomes framework to help organisations and agencies across the youth sector to develop mutual aims for work with and for young people in their local areas. Following more than 18 months’ consultation, development and testing, we published the final document in November 2019: a Framework of Outcomes for Young People 2.0 and an accompanying technical report.
If you could ask your colleagues across the youth sector any question, what would it be? In December we will be launching ‘Asking good questions: the survey’, a new monthly survey by and for organisations working with young people.
Our monthly newsletter collects news, events, research and blogs from the Centre, our networks and practitioners and organisations around the world. Sign-up, and read our previous newsletters, here.
