Evaluating Youth Access’s ‘Make our Rights Reality’ Programme

2019-03-07

The Centre is delighted to announce that it will be working with Youth Access to evaluate the Make our Rights Reality (MORR) programme.  MORR is a major programme including three main elements: RIGHTS, a modular Public Legal Education training course that enables young people to understand their legal rights; ACTION, social action/campaigning activities identified and driven by young people; and VOICE, a national platform aimed at amplifying young people’s voices at a national policy level.

In consultation with Youth Access, the evaluation will focus on two specific areas of enquiry:

  • The most significant areas of learning for the practitioners involved in facilitating/delivering the MORR programme, with a particular focus on insight that could influence future strategy and investment.
  • The extent to which the public legal education (PLE) interventions delivered as part of the programme has met its aims for young people.

The Centre plans to use a version of the Most Significant Change approach, a feedback survey with young people and a number of focus groups with young people to conduct this evaluation.

We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Youth Access, its members and its funders on this piece of work, given the strong alignment with the Centre’s wider work on youth campaigning and activism, and the focus on learning and reflection.
