We're recruiting for a new Research Assistant, come work with us!

2019-08-21

The Centre for Youth Impact is committed to working collaboratively to progress thinking and practice in impact measurement in youth work and provision for young people. Our vision is for all young people to have access to high quality programmes and services that improve their life chances. We believe that embedded approaches to more meaningful impact measurement are critical in achieving our vision.

We need a new Research Assistant to join the team to support our work across our research and practice development projects, and our communications. The post will contribute both capacity and skills to the Centre’s dynamic team – particularly offering support to the Director of Research, Design and Insight in delivering a number of key strategic pieces of work. This is a fixed term post for 12 months.

We are looking for an imaginative and agile research assistant, with excellent research and communication skills. You will need to have an appetite for understanding and navigating complexity, with an inquisitive mind and interest in public policy.

We’re looking for someone with the relevant skills, knowledge and experience who wants to make a difference to the life chances of young people, and the organisations that exist to support them. We’re passionate about that and you’ll need to be too!

For more information about the role and the person specification, please download the job description. If you have any more specific questions about the role, please email Kelly Bradshaw-Walsh, Director of Research, Design and Insight, on kelly.bradshaw-walsh@youthimpact.uk to arrange an informal conversation.

If all of the above sounds appealing, then please send a copy of your CV and a covering letter (up to 800 words) that states how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification to jobs@youthimpact.uk with the subject line ‘Research Assistant application’. Please include in your letter that you have the right to work in the UK. Please also complete the anonymous equality and diversity survey form as part of the application. We see particular strength in diversity, and welcome applications regardless of sex, gender, race, age, sexuality, belief or disability.

The deadline for receipt of your application is 12:00pm on Friday 6 September 2019. Applications received after this time will not be considered.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 11th and Friday 13th September 2019 at our offices in Hackney, E8.
